The Poetry Book titled ‘Ma Kese Pawasam’ authored by Prof. Jayadeva Uyangoda, was launched on Thursday, 18 June 2026 from 04:00p.m. to 06:00p.m. at the BCIS Olympus Auditorium.
The event commenced with welcome remarks by Mr. Gamini Viyangoda, renowned literary translator, followed by a thoughtful review of the book by Prof. Sarath Wijesuriya, former senior lecturer of Sinhala Literature at the University of Colombo.
Madam Chandrika Kumaratunga, Chairperson of the Bandaranaike National Memorial Foundation and the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies, also addressed the audience, sharing her reflections on the publication.
The event concluded with an engaging conversation between Prof. Jayadeva Uyangoda and Prof. Sasanka Perera, offering insights into the author’s experience and the ideas that inspired this collection.
