‘BCIS International Affairs Review’

The Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) publishes Volume 1, Issue 2 of its quarterly review titled “BCIS International Affairs Review”, today, June 29, 2022. It is disseminated to an audience of international relations enthusiasts, academics, and professionals.

This e-review titled “Power Dynamics in the Indian Ocean”, features informative and thought-provoking content on contemporary power dynamics in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). It carries review articles on local and international level power dynamics, news and developments in the IOR. The review articles cover a wide range of topics including the current economic and fuel crisis in Sri Lanka, power rivalries among different states in the IOR and the budding security alliances in the IOR.

The e-review also carries an interview with a prominent academic, Dr David Brewster, Senior Research Fellow, National Security College, Australian National University; an infographic on “Energy Poverty and Social Equity in Developing Countries”; and book annotations. The articles and content featured in the “BCIS International Affairs Review” are the contributions of the BCIS staff members and guest contributors.
