Ms Sinduja Umandi W. Jayaratne, Senior Researcher at Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS), was invited as a Speaker at the Indo-Pacific Irregular Warfare Conceptualization Workshop organized by the U.S. Department of Defense’s Irregular Warfare Center on 14-15 March 2024. She presented on the topic “Irregular Warfare: Perspectives from Sri Lanka”.

Jayaratne, Senior Researcher at Bandaranaike Center for International Studies, was invited as a Speaker in the 4th Terrorism, Radicalization and Transnational Crime (TRAC) Forum on 3 to 4 April 2024. The event was organized by The Department of International Relations at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais, Brazil in collaboration with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)’s Terrorism Prevention Branch. She presented on ‘CHALLENGES OF STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE IN A CHANGING SECURITY LANDSCAPE: Perspectives From Sri Lanka’ to a vibrant audience comprised of practitioners who primarily come from the Brazilian military, intelligence and police, and security sector specialists from various other countries.
