Here at the BCIS, our approach to International Relations gives equal emphasis to all prominent schools of thought that has contributed to the subject and its evolution till the present.

From the origins and the fundamentals of the concept, to the expanded relevance of related disciplines such as Human Rights and International Justice, the course will map out a rewarding learning experience in delivering knowledge to aid a new generation of globally-oriented academics and professionals.

Course Highlights

Designed to develop among the candidates an understanding of the contemporary world.  It will also provide personnel in different academic and professional fields requiring wider awareness of the current international situation, with background knowledge of areas of particular interest. The following subjects will be covered in this course. 

  1. Introduction to International Relations
  2. International Politics after World War II
  3. Diplomacy
  4. Peace and Conflict Studies

Target Groups

Individuals with experience in the fields of International Relations, Diplomacy, International Trade, Tourism, Media, Law and officers of Armed forces.

Prerequisites

*Those who have passed the GAQ first stage (1st year) at a recognized University / are following an Undergraduate degree programme.

OR

*Successful completion of GCE A/L examination.

OR

*Minimum of 05 years work experience in a recognized organization related to International Relations, International Trade, Tourism, Media sectors, Law and Armed Forces.
