BCIS Interactive Session: ‘Researching Democracy: Ideas for an Agenda for South Asia’

The Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) organized an interactive session between Professor Pratap Bhanu Mehta, Former Vice Chancellor, Ashoka University, India and Sri Lankan researchers on  ‘Researching Democracy: Ideas for an Agenda for South Asia’ at the Olympus Auditorium of the BCIS on September 11, 2023. 

The session was moderated by members of the Board of Academic Affairs of the BCIS, Professor Emeritus Jayadeva Uyangoda and Dr. Athulasiri Samarakoon. 

The participants engaged in a vibrant discussion with Professor Pratap Bhanu Mehta on issues and problems that constitute a research agenda on the histories, experiences, complexities, trends, and future directions of democracy in South Asia.
