The Virtual Inauguration Ceremony of the International Relations Courses, of the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS), for the Academic Year: 2021( B ) was held on October 09, 2021.
The Chief Guest at the event Ambassador Ravinatha Aryasinha, former Foreign Secretary and Sri Lanka’s immediate former Ambassador to the United States of America delivered the Inaugural Address at the event for the new batch of students enrolled for the Certificate course, Diploma, Higher Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma courses in International Relations. Ambassador Aryasinha, in his interesting speech presented the scope and a whole gamut of potentialities available for those seeking an academic course of study in the field of IR, world affairs and diplomacy. Approximately 110 students participated at this event.
Director, BCIS, Dr Minna Thaheer, Ms Mahesha Soysa, Programme Executive, IR Division, BCIS, Ms Sharanya Sekaram, an alumna of BCIS, Mr. Indooshan the Shanthakumaran, Best Student, Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations (2018 A) also spoke at the event.
