The Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) is pleased to announce the launch of its latest publication:

Professor Keerawella is an Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Peradeniya, a member of the BCIS Academic Affairs Board and Council of Management, and a former Executive Director of BCIS. His publication offers an in-depth analysis of the evolution of Sri Lanka’s defence strategy from 1948 to the present day. It explores how domestic political developments and shifting geopolitical dynamics have shaped the country’s national security policy within the increasingly contested Indian Ocean region.

Admiral Jayanath Colombage (RSP, VSV, USP, FNI), former Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, will introduce the book.
