Position Overview: The Director Education at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) will lead the BCIS learning and teaching strategy to provide an excellent student experience. They will provide strategic leadership in the development of learning and teaching, work with external and internal stakeholders, support the teaching staff and the administration of the IR and Language Divisions and the BCIS to ensure good practice in the delivery of the IR certificate, diploma, higher diploma and postgraduate diploma programmes, a Masters Degree programme and the different Language courses.
The Director Education will report to the BCIS Academic Affairs Board (AAB) through the Executive Director, and will be a member of the BCIS Senior Management team with the Director Research, the Registrar and the Executive Director.
Position Overview: The Director Education at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) will lead the BCIS research team, be responsible for implementing the BCIS Research Agenda 2025-2029 and contribute to the intellectual direction of the organisation.
The Research Agenda 2025-2029 has been developed by the BCIS in consultation with the BCIS Academic Affairs Board and members of the BCIS Research Committee. It has prioritised some key areas and also highlighted the value of being sufficiently agile to deal with emerging issues in a constantly changing world.
The Director Research will report to the BCIS Academic Affairs Board (AAB) through the Executive Director, and will be a member of the BCIS Senior Management team with the Director Education, the Registrar and the Executive Director.
