The Inauguration Ceremony of the Language programmes for the Academic Year 2023 B conducted by the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) was held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Olympus Auditorium, BCIS.
Professor Arjuna Parakrama, Professor of English, University of Peradeniya graced the event as the Guest Speaker. Professor Gamini Keerawella, Executive Director of the BCIS and Ms. Dawn Edwin, French Language Lecturer/BCIS also addressed the gathering.
Director of BCIS, Dr. Minna Thaheer and Registrar/CAO of BCIS, Mr. Wasantha Manthripala, were also present at the event.
Approximately 150 students who enrolled for the Language and Cultural Studies Programmes participated in this event.
