The Awards Ceremony of the second batch of students who successfully completed the “Leaders for the 21st Century” course offered by the BCIS Youth Leadership Academy was held at the Olympus Auditorium of the BCIS on August 05, 2023. The Chairperson of the BCIS, HE Madam Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Twenty- seven students who successfully completed the course “Leaders for the 21st Century” received their certificates from the Chairperson. The BCIS also presented tokens of appreciation to the trainers of the BCIS Youth Leadership Academy.
The Executive Director of the BCIS, Professor Gamini Keerawella delivered the welcome address at the event.Member of the Board of Academic Affairs and Council of Management, Professor Jayadeva Uyangoda, Director of the BCIS, Dr. Minna Thaheer, CAO and Registrar of BCIS, Mr. Wasantha Manthripala , Principal Trainer of the BCIS Youth Leadership Academy, Dr. Sunil Wijesiriwardena, trainers of the BCIS Youth Leadership Academy , Dr. Ursla Peiris and Mr. Ruwan Basnayake were present at the above event. The Coordinator of the BCIS Youth Leadership Academy, Mr. Daham Jayarathna organized the above event.
