The preliminary meeting of the annual review of the Curriculum of the International Relations programmes (of the New Syllabus) with the participation of all Academic Board members took place at BCIS on February 20, 2023.
The new syllabuses of the Certificate Course in International Relations, Diploma in International Relations, Higher and Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations, offered by the institute were discussed.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Amal Jayawardena. The Academic Board members in attendance were, Professor Jayadeva Uyangoda; Professor Deepika Udagama; Professor Gamini Keerawella; Professor Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri; Dr. Paikiasothy Saravanamuttu and Dr. Athulasiri Samarakoon. The Senior Director of BCIS, Ambassador Sumith Nakandala, Director of BCIS, Dr. Minna Thaheer, Registrar and CAO of BCIS, Mr. Wasantha Manthripala, members of the IR Division: Programme Executive Ms. Mahesha Soysa, Programme Coordinator Ms. Nelum Uttamadasa, Programme Assistant Ms. Kanchana Jayasundara, Programme Assistant Ms. Tharishi Hewavithanagamage and Secretary to the Senior Director, Shameera Samsudeen were also present.
