The fourth virtual “BCIS Global Transformations Lecture, ” for 2021 was held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 12 noon to 1.00p.m. via Micorosft Teams titled, “Why New Zealand in Sri Lanka? The Rationale for Opening a Kiwi Diplomatic Mission in Colombo.” The lecture was delivered by His Excellency Mr. Michael Appleton, High Commissioner of New Zealand to Sri Lanka followed by questions and answers/ discussions. Approximately 107 participants joined the lecture.
Dr Minna Thaheer, Director/BCIS, chaired the event hosted by the International Relations Teaching Unit of the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS).
Ms Mahesha Soysa, Coordinator of IR courses at BCIS, proposed the vote of thanks at the event.
