The Virtual Inauguration Ceremony of the International Relations Courses

The Virtual Inauguration Ceremony of the International Relations Courses, of Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS), for the Academic Year: 2021 (A) was held in four sessions on April 01, 02 and 03, 2021.
Ambassador Gamini Munasinghe, an eminent former diplomat, who was the First Envoy to South Africa delivered the Inaugural Address at the Virtual Inauguration Ceremony for the Certificate Course in International Relations held on April 01, 2021. Approximately 35 students participated at this event.
 
Dr. Rohan Perera, Former Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations and Former Legal Adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Lanka graced the Inauguration Ceremony of the Diploma in International Relations course as the Guest of Honour on April 02, 2021. Approximately 60 students participated at this event.
Former Foreign Secretary and Governor of the Northern Province, Ambassador H.M.G.S. Palihakkara delivered the Inaugural Address for the Higher Diploma/Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations and Diploma in International Relations (Weekend) courses on April 03, 2021. Approximately 70 and 60 students participated at these events respectively.
 
Director, BCIS, Dr Minna Thaheer and Ms Mahesha Soysa, Programme Executive, IR Division, BCIS, Mr Asantha Senevirathne, Lecturer, Kotalawala Defence University and Ms Lanka Ilangakoon, (immediate past pupil) also spoke at the events.
