It was disseminated to an audience of international relations enthusiasts, academics, and professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This special issue of the BCIS International Affairs Review brings together a series of articles, a film review, a video interview, and an infographic on the theme \u201cBeyond Recognizing Gender Rights in the 21st Century\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The content of this timely issue highlights the challenges related to achieving gender and sexual rights at global, regional, and local levels. The content speaks to the importance of incorporating rights-based approaches against systems and structures that discriminate and oppress persons based on gender and sexuality, leading to an equal and just future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The e-review features a video interview with a prominent academic, Professor Pabasari Ginige, Senior Lecturer, Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya on rights and recognition of the transgender community in Sri Lanka. The articles and content featured in the \u201cBCIS International Affairs Review\u201d are the contributions of the BCIS staff members and guest contributors.
