The report was presented in September 2021 before the end of the 75th Session of the General Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H.E. Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, 4th President of Sri Lanka (1994-2005), Chairperson- BCIS, Ms. Hanaa Singer-Hamdy, UN Resident Representative in Sri Lanka, Dr Radhika Coomaraswamy, former Under-Secretary-General and the Special Representative on Children and Armed Conflict and Ambassador H.M.G.S. Palihakkara, former Foreign Secretary and Governor of the Northern Province of Sri Lanka made presentations at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This virtual discussion focused on \u2018Our Common Agenda\u2019 that reiterates the UN\u2019s commitment to an enhanced, inclusive and effective system of global governance to cope with the challenges of the current and future generations, thereby enabling a better, greener and safer future for everyone. The UN hopes to achieve this by seizing new opportunities as the world recovers from the pandemic and its related financial, economic, and social ramifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Webinar was attended by 140 plus participants including members from the diplomatic community, foreign service officials, academics, activists, and students. Dr Minna Thaheer, Director, BCIS moderated the discussions.
